The Tamil Nadu Film Exhibitors' Association has written a letter to Rajinikanth, requesting him to screen his upcoming movie Jailer in all theaters of the state. The letter dated July 31, 2023 seems to have been sent after hearing of the actor's speech at the Jailer audio launch event. While the Jailer audio launch show is set to be telecast on Sun TV only on August 6, 2023 [Sunday], the exhibitors' association seems to have made a request based on what they heard at/from/about the event. 

English Translation of the Letter

"At the Jailer audio launch event, actor Rajinikanth has spoken about wanting everyone to come to theaters to watch the film. We are very happy about it. Similarly we are very eager about screening Jailer in all the theaters in Tamil Nadu. So we request the Superstar to arrange for the release of Jailer in all theaters in Tamil Nadu."

Written and directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, Jailer is an U/A censored action-comedy that comes with a runtime of 2 hours 48 minutes 59 seconds. The movie releases in theaters worldwide on August 10, 2023 in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi (as Rajini: The Jailer) among other dubbed languages. In Tamil Nadu, Jailer's first show is expected to premiere at 9 AM because of the new rules for showcasing movies in the state.
