Actor Suriya reuniting with his Soorarai Pottru director Sudha Kongara has been on the cards for a while now, and GV Prakash has also many a times confirmed that he will be composing music for this movie. Tentatively referred to as Suriya 43, this project is currently gearing up for an official announcement and GV Prakash dropped a major hint of the same via his twitter handle.

Suriya 43 is also GV Prakash's 100th project as a composer, and the music director has alerted his fans of an update soon. It is said that the official Suriya 43/GV100 announcement will be made on July 23, 2023 marking actor Suriya's birthday. 

Sudha Kongara has previously said that just like Soorarai Pottru, Suriya 43 is a movie based on real life incidents. However the film is not a biopic, and will be made on a grand scale.
