Actor Dhanush will next be seen in a period action adventure titled Captain Miller - a movie which shares its title with the first suicide bomber of the Tamil militant organization - Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE). Written and directed by Arun Matheswaran of Rocky (2021), Saani Kaayidham (2022) fame, Captain Miller will soon have a first look poster release, announced the film's actor and director recently.

Reportedly, Dhanush photo-shot for this poster release a few days ago, and it is expected to be out anytime this week. This will be followed by a teaser release on Dhanush's birthday i.e. July 28, 2023. Captain Miller has GV Prakash for music, and is a production venture of Sathya Jyothi Films. Latest we hear, the audio rights of the movie have been bagged by Saregama and OTT by Amazon Prime Video.

Captain Miller is also being planned as a franchise, suggest recent buzz. The makers hope to expand the movie with multiple sequels, but this is to be decided post the release of Captain Miller. At the moment, Captain Miller is expected to hit theater screens towards the end of 2023. Kannada actor Shivarajkumar who plays Dhanush's brother in Captain Miller, wrapped his portions on the movie last week.
