Marking actor Vijay's 49th birthday today, the first look poster of Leo featuring Vijay in an intense hunter mode has been unveiled. The highly anticipated confirmation of Leo being part of director Lokesh's cinematic universe (LCU) was not to be found anywhere, but the poster did come with a new tagline that read, “In the world of untamed rivers, calm waters either become divine gods or dreaded demons”

Leo written and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj is touted to be a gangster drama with focus on father (Vijay) - daughter (child artiste Iyal) relationship. The movie is said to have a plotline similar to A History of Violence (2005), which is about how a former gangster, now living a quiet family life, is forced to confront his violent past. 

Trisha plays female lead in this movie and Sanjay Dutt plays Vijay's father. A part of Leo is set in Kashmir, which is what is showcased in the first look poster as well. Produced by 7 Screen Studio, Leo has Anirudh for music, Sony Music South as the official music label, Netflix as its OTT partner and Sun TV as the satellite partner.
