Vetrimaaran's Rajan Vagaiyara is a 2 hour film, reveals Santhosh Narayanan

Part 1 of a gangster trilogy, Vada Chennai directed by Vetrimaaran is a 2018 Tamil film starring Dhanush in the lead. A popular dialogue from the movie which made it to memes on Tamil socials was "Senthil, Guna, Velu, Thambi ivanga ellarum Anbu vaazhkaiyoda inaikkuradhu Rajan dhan" (translates to Rajan is the only person, who glues Senthil, Guna, Velu and Thambi into Anbu's life).  This popular Rajan character played by director Ameer is so pivotal to the Vada Chennai world, that Vetrimaaran has apparently made a whole 2 hour feature titled Rajan Vagaiyara which he has not released.

The revealition was recently made by Vada Chennai music composer Santhosh Narayanan who also expressed that he wishes that Vetrimaaran would release the movie soon. Santhosh Narayanan has also said that Rajan Vagaiyara dives into the backstory of Ameer's character, covering his origins, the life that he lead and his eventual death as shown in the opening Vada Chennai scene.

This means that Rajan Vagaiyara is a prequel to Vada Chennai and is one of the three movies in Vetrimaaran's trilogy. Vada Chennai was originally produced by Vetimaaran's Grass Roots Film Company, Dhanush's Wunderbar Films and Lyca Productions.
