Hot buzz that has taken the Tamil film industry by storm right now is that director Venkat Prabhu will soon be teaming up with actor Vijay. Vijay is currently close to wrapping Leo, his ongoing project with director Lokesh Kanagaraj. While Leo is scheduled to release on October 19, 2023, word has it that Vijay will begin his next project i.e. Thalapathy 68 (tentative title) by August, 2023.

Venkat Prabhu is the latest director to be associated with Thalapathy 68, and it remains to be seen if it is Super Good Films or AGS Entertainment that produces this project. Yuvan Shankar Raja is said to be composing music for this Venkat Prabhu-Vijay film, and an official announcement on Thalapathy 68 is expected to come out on June 22 for Vijay's birthday this year.
