Historical fiction drama Yaathisai is based on the real life Pandya King Kochchadaiyan aka Ranadhira, and the movie starring Shakthi Mithran, Seyon in the lead released in theaters on April 21, 2023. The 121 minute movie, written and directed by Dharani Rasendran is now all set for a digital premiere, and Yaathisai's OTT release date is May 12, 2023 on Amazon Prime Video and Simply South streaming apps.

Also starring Rajalakshmi, Vaidehi Amarnath, Sabthaseelan, Guru Somasundaram among others, Yaathisai is set in the 7th-century when Pandiyan prince Ranadheeran ruled and the Chola dynasty had lost its power. While the Cholas were forced to live in the woods, Ranadheeran meets an unexpected foe from an Einar clan. The cat-and-mouse game between Ranadheera Pandiyan and this Einar clan warrior for ultimate power is what forms the rest of the story.
