Tamil language comedy drama Soppana Sundari starring Aishwarya Rajesh in the lead released in theaters this year on April 14, 2023. The movie written and directed by SG Charles of Lock Up (direct OTT film) fame, is now all set for a digital premiere on Disney Plus Hotstar. Soppana Sundari's OTT release date is May 12, 2023 and the film will be streaming in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada and Malayalam languages.

Soppana Sundari titled after the popular Goundamani-Senthil comedy scene from Karakattakkaran (1989), revolves around a lower-middle-class family with daughter Agalya (Aishwarya Rajesh), mother Lakshmi (Deepa Shankar) and Agalya's speech-impaired elder sister Thenmozhi (Lakshmi Priyaa Chandramouli).

Naresh (Sathish Krishnan), the sales manager of SGC Jewellers, informs Agalya that she has won a red Suzuki Swift worth Rs. 10 lakh. Agalya hopes to use the car as a dowry to get Thenmozhi married off to a well-off man (Shah Ra), but chaos ensues as people attempt to take the car, and the three women are forced to navigate unexpected events. 

Also starring Karunakaran, Redin Kingsley, Mime Gopi, Sunil Reddy, Bjorn Surrao among others, Soppana Sundari comes with a runtime of 115 minutes i.e. 1 hour and 55 minutes.
