Jigarthanda release plan

Siddharth and Lakshmi Menon play the lead roles in Jigarthanda directed by Karthik Subbaraj of 'Pizza' fame. Major portions of the film has been shot in Madurai. The film shooting is nearing completion. Jigarthanda is touted to be a suspense thriller. Simhaa and Karuna play supporting cast. Music by Santhosh Narayanan. The film is produced by Aadukalam producer 'Kathiresan'.

Director Karthik Subbaraj has released a press note regarding the film's progress and release plans. In his statement, he had said, "I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for the tremendous coverage and support you extended to me on my first directorial venture Pizza (2012). My second outing 'Jigarthanda' is nearing completion and slated for January 2014 release. Happy to share that it has come out really well and will definitely meet your expectations."
