KH 234 (tentative title) is actor Kamal Haasan's upcoming movie with director Mani Ratnam. While the movie is expected to begin once Kamal Haasan completes filming for Indian 2 with director Shankar, a latest update suggests that actress Vidya Balan might be playing female lead in KH 234. Vidya Balan has previously worked with Mani Ratnam on Guru (2007) which had a dubbed Tamil release, and she made her Kollywood debut with a special appearance in the Ajith starrer Nerkonda Paarvai (2019).

If on board, KH 234 will be Vidya Balan's first direct Tamil movie in a full fledged lead role. Actress Andrea Jeremiah is also being associated with KH 234 for one of the female characters in the movie. Previously Trisha and Nayantara were linked to the project as the film's female lead but none of the casting has been officially confirmed.

KH 234 is a joint production venture of Kamal Haasan's Raaj Kamal Films International, Mani Ratnam's Madras Talkies and Udhayanidhi Stalin's Red Giant Movies. The film has AR Rahman for music.
