Captain Miller titled after Liberation Tiger of Tamil Eelam aka LTTE's first suicide bomber, is an upcoming period action drama starring Dhanush in the lead. The movie is directed by Arun Matheswaran of Rocky (2021) and Saani Kaayidham (2022) fame, and the film's shooting has been taking place in and around Tenkasi for a while now. 

Since March, 2023,  MDMK Keezhapavur union councillor Rama Udayasuriyan has alleged serious forest  land violations against team Captain Miller, and has now added that the public works (PWD) and forest department has failed to take action against his complaints. As per Udayasuriyan, the team of Dhanush's movie illegally built an woodden bridge, damaging the banks of Chenkulam canal by reducing it to 2ft from 8ft, and disturbing the wildlife in the buffer zone of the Kalakad Mundanthurai Tiger Reserve (KMTR).

The Chenkulam canal brings water to 15 tanks in the area from Old Courtallam falls, and the PWD has allegedly not taken any action against the film's team due to 'pressure from higher officials'. The PWD on the other hand has claimed that they have instructed the film shooting team to remove the woodden bridge and repair canal banks, but team Captain Miller has not followed instructions. 

The forest department on the other hand says that since the movie's set are temporary structures, they cannot legally take any action on the team. Furthermore, Captain Miller is being shot on a private land (UdaiyaSuriyan alleges that the team took soils from the Chenkulam Canal to level a part of this private land, thus damaging the canal structure), which does not require any permission from the forest department. At this point, the miffed area councilor is looking to move the Madurai Bench of Madras High Court against team Captain Miller. The movie is a production venture of Sathya Jyothi Films.
