A Lokesh Kanagaraj directorial, Leo starring actor Vijay in the lead is an upcoming gangster action film that is part of a franchise-coup called the 'Lokesh Cinematic Universe' or the LCU. Leo is the third film in this cinematic universe, which already has two films from different production houses - Karthi starrer Kaithi (2019) and Kamal Haasan starrer Vikram (2021). Leo is scheduled to release in theaters on October 19, 2023 for the pooja holidays. 

7 Screen Studio, producers of Leo have updated that the film's first schedule, for which the crew was tented at Kashmir, India has come to an end. The Kashmir schedule wrap was commemorated with a new video release and the same can be seen above. 

Also starring Sanjay Dutt, Trisha, Arjun Sarja, Gautham Menon, Priya Anand, Mansoor Ali Khan among others, Leo has Anirudh for music and is written by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Rathna Kumar and Deeraj Vaidy. The movie has Manoj Paramahansa for cinematography and Philomin Raj for edits.
