Pathu Thala, an official remake of the 2017 Kannada hit Mufti is all set to release in theaters on March 30, 2023 [Thursday] and the movie starring Silambarasan TR as a don named AGR, Gautham Karthik as an undercover cop and Priya Bhavani Shankar among others will be making its digital premiere on Amazon Prime Video and the Simply South app outside India. The OTT release date of Pathu Thala is expected to be 30 days post its theatrical release i.e. around April 29, 2023. 

An official announcement on the same however awaits. Pathu Thala is produced by Studio Green and the makers have officially updated that a 'huge surprise' awaits fans on March 3, 2023. It is speculated that a teaser release update will be made that Friday.

Pathu Thala is also in the news for its Tamil Nadu theatrical rights. Buzz has it that Sakthi Film Factory has bagged the distribution rights for the movie.
