2017 neo-noir Kannada hit Mufti starring Jailer actor Shiva Rajkumar is coming to Tamil as Pathu Thala with Silambarasan TR in the lead. The film has AR Rahman for music and the first single sung by the composer was featured on Silambarasan [Namma Satham lyric video]

Now the movie is gearing up for a second single release and is said to be a love ballad picturized on actors Gautham Karthik and Priya Bhavani Shankar. On February 20, 2023 [Monday], the team has supposedly shot a promo for this second single. Since Silambarasan TR was not a part of this shoot, rumours seem to have spread about the actor's no-show without context.

So much so that Pathu Thala director Obeli N Krishna had to step in and put up tweets, clarifying details about the second single and that Silambarasan TR had completed shooting for his portions last year itself.

@SilambarasanTR_ brother completed #PathuThala shoot in December itself what we shot yesterday is song between @Gautham_Karthik and @priya_Bshankar . In which we included @arrahman sir also as promo song . This is for particular media people , pl make note of it .
