Dhanush starrer Vaathi [Tamil]/ SIR [Telugu] has been having a good run in the US ever since its release on February 17, 2023. Prime Media, the banner that presented both versions of the movie in the country has updated the opening box-office numbers of the film, which constitutes in USA time the premiere day collections on February 16, plus the day 1 (Saturday) and day 2 (Sunday) collections. 

Till 1 PM on Sunday i.e. February 18, 2023 in USA time [opening 3 days box-office in IST], Vaathi and SIR have collectively grossed $200K, which is about Rs. 1.65 Cr.
