Vaathi [Tamil]/ SIR [Telugu] is an upcoming bilingual that is all set to release in theaters tomorrow i.e. February 17, 2023. Early premiere shows of the movie are already happening this evening both in Tamil Nadu and Telugu states and at this time we bring you 5 reasons to watch this social-message filled action drama:

• Story/ Theme: Vaathi / SIR is a period film set between 1997 to early 2000s. The movie's main theme is education and the story follows a maths teacher's crusade to ensure a fair education for everyone. It is not everyday one comes across action entertainers with such a backdrop and is worth giving a try in movie theaters. 

• Dhanush: Besides the story, Dhanush is the USP of Vaathi/SIR. Despite knowing limited Telugu he has precisely lip-synced all dialogues of his first direct Telugu release. The Tamil audience on the other hand need no introduction to his onscreen presence, which has always been limelight hogging.

• Nativity: A Tamil-Telugu bilingual may be tricky given the stark differences in the nativity of both languages. However Vaathi/SIR is set in a rural area that borders Tamil and Telugu states and the promotional material promises to appease audience on both sides.

• Fresh Aspects: For the Tamil audience, the writing and direction by Venky Atluri, female lead Samyuktha Menon and the YouTube famous Hyper Aadi are the fresh aspects of the film. The Telugu audience on the other hand are getting Dhanush mouthing Telugu dialogues, albiet with a different dubbing voice. 

• Music: GV Prakash has composed 5 no-nonsense numbers to fit in Vaathi/SIR's 139-minute runtime. Be it the melodious Vaa Vaathi/Mastaaru Mastaaru, the peppy Naadodi Mannan/Banjara or the motivationally charged One Life, the songs invoke visual interest as well.
