Vaathi [Tamil]/ SIR [Telugu] is an upcoming bilingual starring actor Dhanush in the lead and the movie is all set to hit theater screens worldwide on February 17, 2023. Sithara Entertainment, producers of the movie have officially announced that a pre-release event for the film will be held at Hyderabad for the Telugu audience on February 15, 2023 i.e. tomorrow. 

Buzz has it that Telugu star Chiranjeevi has been invited as a special guest to the event but it remains to be seen if the 'Megastar' turns up in solidarity for the Dhanush starrer. While the makers have not officially confirmed this, they have hinted at a 'special surprise' at this pre-release event.

Written and directed by Venky Atluri, Vaathi is set in the 90s and tells the tale of a junior college professor who goes on a crusade against the education system after government schools get privatized. The movie also stars Samyuktha Menon, Samuthirakani among others and has GV Prakash for music.
