Vaathi/SIR's story takes place on Tamil-Telugu borders, reveals Dhanush

The trailers of actor Dhanush's upcoming Tamil-Telugu bilingual Vaathi/SIR were launched last evening, and before the videos were unveiled the actor revealed an important detail about the film's story. Vaathi/SIR is written and directed by Tollywood's Venky Atluri and SIR is Dhanush's first direct Telugu release. Talking about how Tamil and Telugu is integrated into the film's story, the actor said,

"SIR is my first direct Telugu film..This film's story takes place in a village that borders Tamil-Telugu (states). So both cultures were mixed, both languages were mixed. It was so beautiful to witness it. It made me realize how close we (Tamil and Telugus) were. It was really amazing. It was really beautiful. And I'm happy that such a story was fated (for me). "

Vaathi/SIR releases in theaters on Februray 17, 2023. The film has GV Prakash for music and is produced by Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas. The film is being presented in Telugu by Srikara Studios and in Tamil by Udhayanidhi Stalin's Red Giant Movies.
