Vaathi/SIR is an upcoming Tamil-Telugu bilingual starring actor Dhanush in the lead, and recently the film's writer, director Venky Atluri confirmed that the movie's approximate runtime is expected to be 2 hours and 12 minutes i.e. 132 minutes. However Vaathi, the Tamil version of the film will have a longer runtime than SIR, its Telugu version. The difference in runtime duration is expected to be 2 minutes between Vaathi and SIR. 

Vaathi/SIR is scheduled to release in theaters on February 17, 2023 and will see Dhanush as a 90s junior lecturer named Balamurugan (Tamil) / Bala Gangadhar Tilak (Telugu). How he stands against institutes indulging in the commercialization of education forms the rest of the story. Trailer of the film will be unveiled tomorrow i.e. February 8, 2023.
