Karthik, an associate director of Kakka Muttai director Manikandan is making his debut direction with a fantasy drama titled Ellorukkum Paayum Mazhai. Sources add that the fantasy drama is pinned around a 7 year old kid and his bond with a fish he pets. The team will start shooting the film by April 2023.

Vijay Sethupathi will be giving voice over to the fish character in this fantasy drama. KA Shakthivel aka Shakthi who did camera work in Trisha's Raangi, will be wielding the camera. Other details are expected to be revealed via an official announcement soon. The film will be funded by Escape artist Madan.
