Vaathi [SIR in Telugu] is an upcoming action entertainer starring actor Dhanush in the lead, and the movie is all set to hit theater screens on February 17, 2023. The film's second single titled Naadodi Mannan [after the 1958 MGR movie] in Tamil, was unveiled on MGR's birth anniversary as a lyric video. The song came with some behind-the-scene footages of the movie, and a video feature by composer GV Prakash. 

Naadodi Mannan has lyrics by Yugabharathi and is sung by Anthony Daasan. Aditya Music Tamil holds the audio rights to the film's album. Written and directed by Venky Atluri, Vaathi/Sir is produced by Fortune Four Cinemas, Sithara Entertainment and Srikara Studios and has Samyuktha Menon playing female lead.
