Actor Vijay's upcoming family action entertainer Varisu [titled Vaarasudu in Telugu] is an upcoming Pongal release that is expected to hit theater screens on January 12, 2023 [Thursday]. The movie has now cleared censor with a clean U and has its runtime has been revealed to be 2 hours and 49 minutes. An official announcement on the same, along with the film's release date is expected to be made soon.

Helped by Telugu director Vamshi Paidipally, Varisu also stars Rashmika Mandanna in the lead and has S. Thaman for music. The movie's trailer is expected to be released at 6 PM tomorrow i.e. January 4, 2023 and this will be officially updated today at 4 PM.
