Thalapathy 67 (tentative title) is an upcoming Lokesh Kanagaraj directorial starring actor Vijay in the lead. Latest buzz is that the movie will begin shooting at Munnar, Kerala on December 5, 2022 and that a film set has already been erected there. Word also has it that the first schedule of Thalapathy 67 will go on for a period of 30 days. 

Thalapathy 67 is touted to be a gangster drama with multiple villains and heroines. Previously director Gautham Menon had confirmed that he was approached to play one of the baddies but he is yet to hear back from the team. Actors like Sanjay Dutt, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Arjun Sarja were also linked to the project and now director Mysskin is said to have come onboard. 

An official announcement on all of the above updates is however awaited. Thalapathy 67 is being planned as a PAN-Indian release and will see Vijay play a don in his 40s, with a salt-and-pepper look. The movie has its eyes set on Diwali, 2023 to hit theater screens.
