Mani Ratnam directed Ponniyin Selvan: Part One is the first movie of a two-part period drama, that released in theaters on September 30, 2022. The movie which is still attracting audience in theaters, recently had a full show attended by school students and a video of these kids vibing to the viral Ponni Nadhi song from the movie was shared widely on social media. 

AR Rahman who has composed music for Ponniyin Selvan 1 took notice of the same and gave the most AR Rahman response to it. A man of very few words and apparently emojis, AR Rahman posted this on Twitter.
