Tamil gangster drama Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu Part 1 The Kindling (VTK) starring Silambarasan TR in the lead, is all set to make its digital premiere on Amazon Prime Video this October 13, 2022. Outside of India, the movie can also be streamed on the Simply South OTT platform from the same date. 

Written by B. Jeyamohan, Gautham Vasudev Menon and directed by Gautham Menon, VTK revolves around Silambarasan's character Muthu who lands in Mumbai to make a living and gets caught up in a web of undergound activities.

VTK comes with a runtime of close to three hours and has AR Rahman for music. The movie also stars Siddhi Idnani as Paavai, Radhika Sarathkumar as Muthu's mother, Neeraj Madhav as Sridharan, Siddique as Kutty Bhai, Delhi Ganesh as Iyer (a crossover character from 1987 film Nayagan), Appu Kutty as Saravanan, Jaffer Saddique as Rawthar and Aangelina Abraham as Muthu's younger sister.
