Historical period drama Ponniyin Selvan: Part One aka PS-I released in theaters on September 30, 2022 and has been running to massive theater crowds for the past 8 days. Based on Kalki Krishnamurthy's 1950s story of the same name, PS-I is directed by Mani Ratnam and has AR Rahman for music, Ravi Varman for cinematography.
