Varisu is an upcoming Vijay starrer. The shoot for the film is currently progressing at a brisk pace. The team had recently filmed a song featuring Vijay and Rashmika. The latest buzz about the film is that, the team had planned to release the first single song from the movie on Diwali. 

Film's composer Thaman had also hinted with a cryptic tweet "Diwali". Which had made the fans excited. 

Varisu, titled Vaarasudu in Telugu is scheduled for a Pongal/Sankranthi in January, 2023. The movie produced by Sri Venkateswara Creations has already completed major portions of the film. The film, touted to be a family entertainer plans to wrap by this month.
