JR 31 (tentative title) is actor Jayam Ravi's next after his upcoming movie with director M Rajesh, Priyanka Mohan and Harris Jayaraj which too tentatively goes by JR 30. JR 31 will be officially announced on August 29, 2022 at 6 PM and the film is a production venture of Home Movie Makers. 

Actress Keerthy Suresh plays female lead in JR 31 and she is said to be playing a cop in the movie. Previously she had portrayed a police constable in the Amazon Prime Video movie Saani Kaayidham. JR 31 is written and directed by debutant Antony Bhagyaraj, a former associate of director Siva.

Antony Bhakyaraj is officially credited as one of the dialogue writers in Annaatthe (2021) and a co-writer on Viswasam (2019). Sony Music South holds the audio rights to JR 31.
