After Ponni Nadhi which served as an introduction to the Chola land of Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan, a second single titled Chola Chola was released which was all about the Chola pride. Just like the first single's behind-the-scenes, Chola Chola too had a BTS video unveil and it features glimpses of actor Vikram filming with director Mani Ratnam and choreographer Brindha. 

Vikram plays Aditya Karikalan -  the Chola crown prince and a fierce warrior in Ponniyin Selvan. The movie is scheduled to release in two parts and Ponniyin Selvan: Part 1 (PS-I) hits theater screens on September 30, 2022.

Ponniyin Selvan has AR Rahman for music, Ravi Varman for cinematography and is produced by Madras Talkies and Lyca Productions. Tips Music holds the audio rights to the movie in Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, Telugu and Kannada.
