The first single from director Mani Ratnam's upcoming magnum opus Ponniyin Selvan (PS-I), is all set to release in theaters on September 30, 2022 in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada languages. It has now been officially announced that the film's first single will be unveiled on July 31, 2022 (Sunday) at 6 PM. 

An AR Rahman composition, the PS-I first single is titled Ponni Nadhi in Tamil and Kaveri Se Milan in Hindi. While Ilango Krishnan has penned the Tamil lyrics to the song, Mehboob Kotwal has written the Hindi version. Tips Music holds the audio rights of Ponniyin Selvan which is produced by Madras Talkies and Lyca Productions. 

Ponniyin Selvan comes with an ensemble of Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan,  Trisha, Jayam Ravi and Karthi among others. Going by the poster, Ponni Nadhi/Kaveri Se Milan is a number on river festival (Aadi Thirunaal) and Karthi's  Vanthiyathevan character.
