Varisu is an upcoming family entertainer directed by Vamshi Paidipally and starring actor Vijay in the lead. The movie is currently being filmed at Hyderabad and actor SJ Suryah recently joined the team on sets. Latest buzz about Varisu (titled Vaarasudu in Telugu) is that Vijay plays a character named Vijay Rajendran in the movie. Vijay Rajendran is an app developer in this story and reportedly his job has an important connection to the film's crux. 

Varisu is produced by Dil Raju's Sri Venkateswara Creations and has SS Thaman for music. Rashmika Mandanna plays female lead in the movie that also stars Sarathkumar, Shaam, Yogi Babu, Sangeetha Krish, Khushbu among others.
