Actor Jayam Ravi plays the titular character in Mani Ratnam's upcoming Ponniyin Selvan movies and his second character poster from PS-I has now been unveiled. PS-I is part 1 of the two-part series and it hits theater screens on September 30, 2022.

Rajaraja I also known as Arulmozhi Varman, Raja Raja Chola or Ponniyin Selvan is best known for building the Brihadisvara temple in Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu. In both the novel and real life, Ponniyin Selvan has been described as an able administrator with an eye for good architecture.
