As reported before, it has now been officially announced that actor Vijay's upcoming movie Thalapathy 66 has been titled Varisu in Tamil and Vaarasudu in Telugu. Sri Venkateswara Creations have also unveiled the first look poster of the movie ahead of their lead's 48th birthday tomorrow.

Written and directed by Vamshi Paidipally, Vaarasudu/Varisu has SS Thaman for music and also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Prakash Raj, Yogi Babu, Prabhu, actor Shaam, Telugu actor Srikanth, actresses Sangeetha, Samyuktha Karthik, Jayasudha, Khushbu among others. 

Varisu / Vaarasudu is scheduled for a Pongal release in January, 2023.
