Actor Vijay will next be seen in a Vamshi Paidipally directorial and the movie which is tentatively titled Thalapathy 66 is expected to have its title, first look reveal on June 22, 2022 [Vijay's birthday]. But before the official poster release, a look of Vijay's from the movie was leaked and the actor was seen wearing a brown button-down layered with a blue round-neck, similar to one of his looks from Thalaivaa (2013).

A full size view of the leaked image also gave a glimpse into the set that was put up for the shooting; Vijay was spotted standing at the door of what looked like a glass-house. Actress Khushbu is the latest addition to the long list of actors in Thalapathy 66, which is scheduled to release in theaters for Pongal, 2023 [January, 2023]. 

The Sri Venkateswara Creations production already comes with an ensemble of Rashmika Mandanna, Mehreen Pirzada, Prakash Raj, Yogi Babu, Prabhu, actor Shaam (plays Vijay's elder brother in the movie), Sarathkumar (Vijay's father in Thalapathy 66), Telugu actor Srikanth, actresses Sangeetha, Samyuktha Karthik, Jayasudha among others.
