Thalapathy 66 (tentative title) is actor Vijay's upcoming movie which has begun shooting and is awaiting next schedule in May, 2022. Actor Sarathkumar is part of this movie too and latest buzz is that he plays Vijay's father in the movie. It is also being said that Vijay has two brothers in Thalapathy 66, one of which will be played by actor Shyam. Interestingly Shyam has previously shared screen space with Vijay as an extra on the latter's 2000 film Kushi. An official confirmation on these updates however await.

Recently Tamil actor 'Mic' Mohan was linked with Thalapathy 66 but the 80s star has refuted that he is part of the movie. Word has it that a Telugu actor is currently in talks to play Vijay's other brother in Thalapathy 66.

Thalapathy 66 is a Vamshi Paidipally directorial and has Rashmika Mandanna playing female lead. The movie is produced by Dil Raju's Sri Venkateswara Creations and has SS Thaman for music.
