Actor Sibiraj starrer upcoming mythological thriller Maayon had been scheduled to release in theaters this June and the movie's release date has been officially announced as June 17, 2022. Maayon also stars Tanya Ravichandran in the lead and had been censored with a clean U by the CBFC.

Maayon is written by producer Arun Mozhi Manickam and directed by Kishore. The movie produced by Double Meaning Productions is set against the backdrop of an ancient temple, and has Ilaiyaraaja for music.
