Actor Rajinikanth's next Thalaivar 169 (tentative title) is an upcoming Sun Pictures production which is expected to go on floors soon. Latest on the film is that actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has been approached to play female lead in the movie. Aishwarya has previously shared screen space with Rajinikanth in Enthiran (2010), which was also a Sun Pictures production albeit a big budget one.

Sivakarthikeyan and Silambarasan TR are other names that have been linked to the project but an official announcement on the cast and crew awaits.
