A Tamil YouTube channel, run by two Youtubers named Gurubaai and Sarvs Sagaa has invited the wrath of Rajinikanth fans, after they posted a 'roast' of the actor's recent release Annaatthe. Plip Plip, the said YouTube channel with not even 1 million subscribers, declares itself to be an adult channel with 18+ content on movie and politics related comedy.
Over the last 4 years they have managed to garner 60 million+ views with their 127 videos and a fair familiarity with the Tamil YouTube audience. Their mainstream highlight comes in lieu of their profanity-filled, 25 minute review of Annaatthe, where they belt out insult comedy with sexual references galore.
Disrespecting and using foul language for views is what roast become? Time @sunpictures @RedGiantMovies_ take action against #PlipPlip YouTube channel.

India as such is not accustomed to the idea of roasts, neither is it common for adult content to be socially acceptable. That said, Plip Plip takes both these parameters to a level that comes across as not only harmful for young viewers with access to internet-enabled devices, but also as distasteful for the mainstream lot. This is albeit their otherwise progressive commentary.
There's a huge difference between dark humor and abuse . Unfortunately many YouTubers are crossing the line using the term dark humor

Also, only early this year a Tamil gaming YouTuber with a history of using profanity on his channel, was booked for abusive content and sent to jail. So it comes as no surprise that the roast of Annaatthe has left majority infuriated, and demanding police action.
