Director Pradeep Ranganathan made his debut with the 2019 comedy entertainer Comali starring Jayam Ravi and Kajal Aggarwal in lead roles. For his next film, the director is taking on the additional role of hero as well and this project was officially announced today by AGS Productions.

The movie is AGS's 22nd project and hence is tentatively referred to as AGS22. An official announcement on the rest of the cast and crew awaits.
