The final schedule of Maaran, actor Dhanush's upcoming movie with director Karthick Naren has begun shooting. This schedule is expected to go on for two weeks, post which it will be a wrap for team Maaran. The movie produced by Sathya Jyothi Films is touted to be an investigative thriller with GV Prakash for music.

Maaran has Malavika Mohanan playing female lead and both she and Dhanush are said to be playing journalists in the movie. Actor Mahendran is said to be playing a character with a negative shade while Samuthirakani, Smruthi Venkat and Krishnakumar will be seen in important roles.
