After Laabam (Vijay Sethupathi) and Thalaivii (Kangana Ranaut), two more Tamil movies are gearing up to hit theater screens this month. Friendship starring Harbhajan Singh, Losliya, Arjun among others and Kodiyil Oruvan starring Vijay Antony are gearing up for a box-office clash on September 17, 2021 (Friday).

Friendship is the Tamil remake of 2018 Malayalam movie Queen and follows the story of how a group of college students rise up to anti-social elements, after one of their classmates becomes a victim of injustice. Kodiyil Oruvan on the other hand is about how a daring man bound to his duties stands up against the big shots. 

Friendship is directed by John Paul Raj, Sham Surya whereas the action-drama Kodiyil Oruvan is directed by Ananda Krishnan.
