Actor Suriya is currently shooting for Etharkkum Thunindhavan with director Pandiraj and it is being said that Sun Pictures plans on releasing the film by 2021 year end. The shooting of the movie will wrap by the month end of September, so the release plan doesn't seem far-fetched at this point. 

While it is known that actor Vinay Rai, who was seen in the first look video of Etharkkum Thunindhavan plays villain in the movie, director Pandiraj's story may have one more antagonist. Actor Madhusudhan Rao who plays the role of Central tourism minister in the film is most likely the other villain. 

Etharkkum Thunindhavan also stars Priyanka Arul Mohan, Sathyaraj, Rajkiran, Saranya Ponvannan and Soori among others and has D. Imman for music.
