Raashi Khanna who currently has movies like Aranmanai 3, Tughlaq Darbar and Karthi's Sardar in the pipeline, has signed her next Tamil film opposite Dhanush. The actress along with Priya Bhavani Shankar have been finalized as female leads of D 44 and will be seen sharing screen-space with the actor.

D 44 is produced by Sun Pictures and reunites Dhanush with director Mithran Jawahar; The duo had previously worked on remakes of Telugu movies like  Aadavari Matalaku Arthale Verule (Yaaradi Nee Mohini), Arya (Kutty) and Ready (Uthamaputhiran). 

The movie also reunites Dhanush with composer Anirudh, popularly known as the DnA combo among fans.
