A new official poster for Ponniyin Selvan was unveiled by Lyca Productions and it confirms that part one of the two-part magnum opus will release in 2022. Ponniyin Selvan 1 or PS 1 is all set to resume shooting this week and the team will be filming at Pondicherry and Hyderabad before wrapping in August, 2021.

Directed and co-produced by Mani Ratnam, PS 1 has A.R. Rahman for music and comes with an ensemble of Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Trisha among others.
