Sarpatta, directed by Pa. Ranjith and starring actor Arya in the lead is an upcoming period sports drama, gearing up for a direct OTT release. Word is that Amazon Prime Video will be hosting the digital premiere of the movie and the streaming platform paid a good amount for the film.

Adding the satellite rights which are with Colors TV Tamil and the Hindi dubbing rights the movie is said to have made Rs. 35 Cr. in business already. 

Sarpatta is expected to release on August 13, 2021 and also stars Pasupathi, Dushara Vijayan, John Vijay, Kali Venkat among others. The film has Santhosh Narayanan for music.
