Kodiyil Oruvan is an upcoming political thriller directed by Ananda Krishnan of Metro fame and starring Vijay Antony in the lead. The film was supposed to release in theaters earlier this year but got delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Latest on Kodiyil Oruvan is that the movie is planning on releasing in theaters on August 13, 2021. 

The Independence day weekend would also be in line with the theme of the movie. However an official announcement on the same is awaited.

Kodiyil Oruvan will also be releasing in Telugu as Vijaya Raghavan. The film has Aathmika playing female lead and Nivas K Prasanna for music.
