Vijay, Vijay Sethupathi starrer Master made its TV premiere on the Tamil channel Sun TV on Tamil New Years day on April 14, 2021. The small screen debut of the Lokesh Kanagaraj directed movie attracted a lot of views, and Master went on to record one of the highest TRPs for Tamil films.

Master registered 13,755,000 BARC impressions in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry and considering the ongoing IPL season, the number is pretty decent. The movie also acquired a TRP rating of 17.10.
