Among the many iconic roles comedian Vadivelu has played, 'Naai Sekar' from Thalai Nagaram (2006) remains a memorable one. Thalai Nagaram was the Tamil remake of Malayalam hit Abhimanyu and the Tamil version's director Suraj is now teaming up with Vadivelu after all these years.

Their project together is titled after their hit character Naai Sekar and the movie, if confirmed will be Vadivelu's comeback after four years. Vadivelu was last seen on screen in Mersal in 2017.
