Thalaivi, the AL Vijay directed Jayalalitha biopic had a trailer release today and the video unveiled actor Nasser in the role of Karunanidhi besides unleashing Kangana as Jayalalitha and Arvind Swami as MGR. The trailer had two different versions for Tamil and Hindi and the Tamil version showcases more of the 'Amma' image of the former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister.

Thalaivi has GV Prakash for music and is scheduled to release in theaters on April 23, 2021. The movie also stars Poorna as Sasikala, Madhoo as Janaki MGR and Samuthirakani as RM Veerappan among others.
