Between the upcoming Assembly elections in Tamil Nadu and theater owners adapting to OTT leeways in the COVID-19 era, movies in Tamil Nadu have had several release alterations. But one movie which seems to be not changing its course of action is the Dhanush starrer Karnan.

Karnan is scheduled for a theatrical release on April 9, 2021 which is exactly 4 Fridays away and the demand for the the movie atleast within Tamil Nadu, is like never before for a Dhanush film. Karnan, directed by Mari Selvaraj is said to have garnered a record breaking price with PVR Pictures, which is releasing the movie throughout Chennai city. Dhanam pictures who distributed Master & Nenjam Marapathillai will release the film in Chengalpattu.

Overall Tamil Nadu deal too is said to have been closed for Rs. 25 Cr., Dhanush's biggest sale till date. Thanks to posters and music track releases, the Karnan pre-release buzz is good so far. By the looks of it, Karnan seems like the second most anticipated movie in this COVID-19 era after Master.
